Through a growing partnership between the <strong>Kiribati Climate Action Network (KiriCAN)<\/strong> and the <strong>Kiribati Rotaract Youth Club<\/strong>, young leaders are not waiting for change\u2014they are creating it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With rising sea levels, saltwater intrusion, and erratic weather patterns threatening livelihoods, food systems, and cultural heritage, the youth of Kiribati are meeting these challenges with bold, community-driven action. From <strong>planting mangroves to safeguard coastal areas<\/strong> to <strong>conducting awareness campaigns<\/strong> in local schools and villages, these young climate advocates are putting resilience into action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One standout initiative includes <strong>community clean-up drives and composting workshops<\/strong>, which not only reduce waste but also educate communities on sustainable living. Youth,&nbsp; groups have also led <strong>climate storytelling sessions<\/strong>, sharing traditional knowledge alongside scientific awareness to deepen community understanding and unity around climate resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This partnership is more than a project\u2014it&#8217;s a movement. It empowers young people to become skilled advocates and stewards of their environment. It recognizes that <strong>youth are not just the future\u2014they are the present<\/strong>, and their ideas, energy, and leadership are essential to shaping a sustainable path forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;By investing in our youth, we are investing in the future of Kiribati,&#8221; said a KiriCAN representative. &#8220;Their passion and commitment remind us that hope is not lost\u2014it lives in every action they take.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With support from KiriCAN and its partners, youth across Kiribati continue to inspire change\u2014locally, nationally, and globally.
